ഹാർവെസ്റ്റ് ഫെസ്റ്റിവലിനോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് ,വിശുദ്ധ കുർബാനന്തരം, ഭക്ഷ്യവസ്തുക്കളുടെ ഓഫർ എടുക്കുന്നത് വർഷങ്ങളായി നമ്മുടെ ഇടവകയിലെ നിറമുള്ള ഓർമ്മയാണ്. ഓഫർ എടുക്കുന്ന ദിനങ്ങളിൽ ഇടവകാംഗങ്ങൾ ഹൃദയപൂർവ്വം നൽകുന്ന ദശാംശസമർപ്പണങ്ങൾ പിന്നീട് ‘ഹാർവെസ്റ്റ് ഫെസ്റ്റിവൽ’ ദിനത്തിൽ നമ്മുക്ക് ആവശ്യമായി വന്നിരുന്ന ഭക്ഷ്യസാധനങ്ങൾക്കായി വിനിയോഗിച്ച് കൂപ്പൺ വഴി വിതരണം ചെയ്ത് ലഭിച്ച മിച്ചത്തിൽ നിന്നും ഒരു നല്ല ഭാഗം സാധുജനക്ഷേമപ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾക്കായി നാം വിനിയോഗിച്ചു വന്നിരുന്നു.

കോവിഡ് എന്ന മഹാമാരിയുടെ ഈ നാളുകളിൽ, നാം കണ്ട് പരിചയിച്ചിരുന്ന ‘ഹാർവെസ്റ്റ് ഫെസ്റ്റിവൽ’ - ആ വലിയ ആൾക്കൂട്ടവും, ഉത്സവാന്തരീക്ഷവും, ഭക്ഷണശാലകളും സങ്കൽപ്പിക്കാൻ പോലും സാധ്യമല്ലാതായിരിക്കുന്നു. എന്നിരുന്നാലും ഓരോരുത്തരും തങ്ങൾക്ക് ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന താലന്തിനനുസരിച്ച് ഹൃദയപൂർവം നമ്മുടെ ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ സമർപ്പിക്കുന്ന നേർച്ചകളും ദശാംശങ്ങളും സ്വീകരിച്ച് പാർശ്വവത്കരിക്കപ്പെട്ട, വേദന അനുഭവിക്കുന്ന, സാധുക്കളായ അനേകർക്ക് , പ്രത്യാശയുടെ പുതുവെളിച്ചെത്തിനായി ഇടവക വർഷങ്ങളായി ചെയ്തുവരുന്നതുപോലെ, കഴിയുംവിധം, ഈ വർഷവും നടത്തുവാനാണ് ദൈവത്തിൽ ശരണപ്പെട്ടുന്നത്.

പള്ളിമുറ്റത്ത് നമുക്ക് ലഭ്യമായിരുന്ന ഭക്ഷണ വൈവിധ്യങ്ങളുടെ അനുഭവം നഷ്ടപ്പെടാതിരിക്കാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞവർഷത്തെപ്പോലെതന്നെ, ഗ്ലോറിയ 2021 യുടെ ഭാഗമായി ഈ വർഷവും നമ്മൾ അബുദാബിയിലെ വിവിധ റസ്റ്റോറൻറ്കളെ കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്ത് ' ഫ്രീ ഫുഡ് കൂപ്പണുകൾ', വാർഷിക ഗിഫ്റ്റ് വൗച്ചറിനൊപ്പം വിതരണം നടത്തുന്നുണ്ട്. മുൻവർഷങ്ങളിലെ ഓഫർ ദിനത്തിന്റെ ഓർമ്മകളുണർത്തുന്ന ഭക്ഷ്യവസ്തക്കളുടെ ലിസ്റ്റിൽ നിന്നും തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത് നിങ്ങൾ നൽകുന്ന ഒരോ ദശാംശവും, ദൈവനാമ മഹത്വത്തിന് വേണ്ടിയുള്ള സ്തേത്രാർപ്പണമാണെന്നതിനാൽ ഓരോരുത്തരും അവരവരുടെ സാഹചര്യത്തിനനുസരിച്ച് പങ്കാളികളായി അനുഗ്രഹം പ്രാപിക്കുവാൻ ദൈവനാമത്തിൽ അഭ്യർത്ഥിക്കുന്നു..

“Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”. (Proverbs 3 : 9)

Pre-Covid period	During Covid Period
Tithe and other offerings were collected in the form of cash and/or kind in the Church.	A range of items will be displayed online; these would be accessed to submit the “Tithe AND Offering”.
The Cathedral premise could be availed to set-up stalls, arrange items and prepare food using the offerings of members, which were exchanged against food coupons during the Harvest Festival Day. A festive mood prevailed throughout the days of preparation until the Festival ended. Proceeds of the collection of the day would go to serve the less privileged people of the society.	Every attempt is being made to offer the same experience; while the physical exchange would be absent, the content, intent and support provided would remain unchanged. Offerings will be utilized to serve and support the less privileged people staying in destitute homes, orphanages and old age homes. An additional feature being introduced is: Redeemable restaurant coupons that will be distributed along with Christmas Gift Vouchers (UPAHARA)
